Social Work

Our girls receive housing, food, education, and clothing completely free of charge, from their childhood until they reach adulthood.
Our maximum installed capacity can house 90 scholarship recipients. Currently, the Manuel Galecio home has 88 girls: 34 in primary school from 6 to 11 years old, 54 in secondary school from 12 to 18 years old; 13% from the coastal region, 23% from the highlands, and 64% from the Amazon.
The Board of Charity provides them with lodging, food, health, and education completely free of charge, from their childhood until they leave the institution as high school graduates.
Our girls receive a comprehensive education based on principles of honesty, spirituality, and good manners, under the care and direct attention of the Religious Sisters and the staff of this department, who provide accompaniment with love, acceptance, understanding, patience, dedication, and selflessness, so that in the future they may be valuable, enterprising women who forge good, putting into practice all the values of honesty, justice, truth, loyalty, simplicity, and humility that are imparted to them.
Our home does not generate income in any way or under any concept. We receive financial and administrative support from the Guayaquil Board of Charity.
Scholarships to enter the home are granted to girls who do not need special education and who enjoy good health, whose parents, guardians, or representatives are economically unable to finance their schooling expenses.
